If you are a resident of the state of Mississippi and have been there for over 30 days, or are employed there, you need to have a Mississippi drivers license, and then there will be absolutely no problem getting insurance.

You have to have a license from the state where you live,
BUT, I live in Kansas, and there are THOUSANDS of illegals here who get insurance and have never had a US drivers license.

Go to an insurance agent who speaks spanish. I am sure they will find a way to help you.

Whatever you do, do NOT bother getting one of those "international drivers licenses". They are a scam to rip off illegals, and you will be laughed out of the DMV if you walk in with one of those.
