Ricky is a very overrated fighter from Britain that the British media has built up. His showing here in America against Callazo was a perfect example of that. I must give Ricky credit though, he knows he has to come back to America to redeem himself and his next fight will definitely be a tough one.
Unlike Joe Calzaghe and Hamed "Naz" who everyone in England was proclaiming to be Great until Joes last fight and Hamed's fight with Marco Antonio Barrera proved the British media was just grasping for stars.

Not really sure... did you see the Costya Zoo (spelling??) fight. I was shocked Costya looked as he did. I suspect that Costya had lost the "eye of the tiger", had made a bunch of money, and was thinking of retiring anyway. If this is the case, then maybe he didn't put everything he had into the fight. Another clue is a lack of pro fighting after the Hatten fight. Either way, he seems defined by the Costya fight, and was primarily a British phenom up to then. Only time will tell, but I suspect most will remember Costya much longer than Ricky.

Ricky hatton is a hard guy who is more of a hard grafter than a natural talent but a talent nonetheless .he does'nt get great media because of a row over rights with his then manager frank warren and his dad, he is a quiet guy who loves a beer and man city football club

Hatton is a very good fighter. He won world titles in 2 different weights. Ok he struggled to win at Welter but he won. Now he is back at light welter and he has the skills and power to clean up the division. He is undefeated and if he stays focused can remain so. Some people don't give him the credit he deserves. Nice bloke too.

hatton's superior wrestling skills (all that pushin' and shovin') didn't work to well against a boxer like collazo.
he should go back and wrestle and roll around with the bartenders, cab drivers, waitresses, and add more wins to his illustrious winning streak.
