Because although the militaries signed an armistice, the governments never concluded the war. Technically, both north Korea and south Korea are still at war.

Because except for the veterans of this war, no one wants to think about it. We fought for over 3 years and only got a tie, and there was no real treaty ending the war, just a permanent-temporary armistice. It seems liek a giant waste, until you see what a waste Vietnam was.

I wasn't aware that it was called that, but I'm sure if it is it's because we have never ended that war, it's just temporally on hold right now.

Very few people talk about it, often when I mention Korea people think I’m talking about Vietnam. It’s sad really.

It's overshadowed by Vietnam and we don't like to revisit our mistakes, if we don't have to.
