First off you need to use ingrediants that have a shelf life, no real meat or baby food, here's one I use:

Homemade Treats For Dogs And Cats

Ingredients

1 c whole wheat flour
3 tb virgin olive oil
1 c water -distilled or filtered
1 garlic clove-minced or powdered (Don't kiss me)
1 c oatmeal
1/4 ts sea salt
2 tb parsley, chopped
1/2 c wheat germ

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Blend all ingredients, reserving the wheat germ for later. Roll the dough 1/4 inch thick and press into any shape you like. Place biscuits at least 1" to 1 1/2 " apart on an oiled cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. When done, sprinkle wheat germ on top for flavor.

Note: Cut these biscuits into hearts and circles for dogs, and into strips for cats who prefer snacks that have points.
