I have been out of my perscrption lexapro for 6 days can't get in touch with my Dr. What can I expect?

I am already feeling anxiety and experiencing either violent of sad dreams. what other physical/mental affects should I be on the look out for untill I can get my perscrition filled?

I hated Lexapro, just made me feel sick. Why cant these meds work, instead of me feeling sick all of the time? I was soo tired.

Why can't you get in touch with your doctor? If they are out of town, there should be an alternate doctor that is there to handle any emergencies that might come up. It's quite irresponsible of the doctor if they do not have that set up.

If it's been 6 days, you probably aren't going to have a lot more withdrawal effects than you are already having. Perhaps you are one of the lucky ones who doesn't have that reaction so intensely. Withdrawal can leave you feeling dizzy and weird and can cause stomach aches and nausea. If you just started this medication and/or are on a really low dose, that may be why you haven't experienced the really miserable withdrawal side effects that are often reported from stopping cold turkey.

Those are withdrawal symptoms from the Lexapro, not the fact that you need it. Your doc should be available or have another doc take care of his patients. Being unavailable for 6 days is ridiculous.

Hopefully that is going to be the extent of it. You will feel kinda like you did before you started taing it... Schedule an appointment to go to the Dr. and get your refill.

Try taking St John's Wort until you can get in touch with your doctor.
It is a natural herb that is suppose to ward off depression.

I didn't take it for 3 days and felt dizzy and nauseous. Good luck!
