avg has been spot on but with no updates if this is true i need 2 find another top notch free anti virus can any1 confirm this and help

7.1 is no longer supported early next year. 7.5 is currently out. The only main differences between 7.`1 and 7.5 is that 7.5 is compatible with Vista. There is also updates for issues and such as normal.

download avg 7 from here:

Uninstall your current version, reset your computer and then install the new version

Yes, AVG WILL have a free version in 2007, upgraded from their current one, that is supposed to be much improved. You will no doubt be notified by AVG in January to upgrade your current version with the new one. Don't despair, and don't give it up, if it works for you.

AVG will stop support for The free 7.1 on the 15th Jan 2007. Although 7.5 is free although it is a limited 30 day trial.

A lot of people misconstrued the fact that they are updating from the current version and yes the new version is free and still supported.

Try this for an alternative. It's free, has daily automatic updates and is highly rated. I've been using it for years, and most of all, it works!

its my understanding that avg 7.1 will stop. download avg 7.5 from their website
