Keep yourself busy, get rid of everything that reminds you of them, have fun with friends, try hard as possible not to talk to them in anyway way (phone, text, im, through friends).
Read "Its Called A Breakup Because Its Broken" its a great book that will help you get over that person step by step.

Get someone new, but only after you honestly look at yourself and make whatever changes you need to so you don't get the same result.
