The truth is: you can't. Only a human translator can grasp the true meaning of a text. A "machine" simply cannot predict where the whole text is going, if you know what I mean. These translators are good, at best, for translating a word or a short sentence. I have seen a lot of translations on here using these translators and they are usually pretty comical. Furthermore, a lot of languages have genders, formal and unformal ways of addressing people, etc. I am fluent in Italian and just to give you an example, I used 2 different translators to translate some of the lyrics of Laura Pausini's song "La Solitudine" (which means "Loneliness"). I chose this song because the lyrics are pretty simple and straight forward.
This is what I got from the site that did the best job:
- Mark if n' it has gone and does not return more the train of the 7:30 without he Is a heart of metal without the spirit In the cold of matino the gray of city To school the bench is empty, Mark is within me Is sweet its breath between the thoughts my enormous Distances sembrno to divide to us But the heart strikes strong within me -

Get my gist?

One of the sites had this note:
Please note:
The translator will not produce a perfect translation. In most cases it should adequately convey the general sense of the original; however, it is not a substitute for a competent human translator.

Translating is a tricky process. Machines can't recognize context, which is the most important part. If you're looking for a translation for something like... French or Spanish, which are structurally similar to English, then an online translator like Babelfish (I assume there are much better ones out there, too) may help but cannot be guaranteed to be 100% accurate. If what you want is a translation of a language that is very different from English, like Japanese or Chinese, I'd say you're out of luck, as all online translators I've tried for Asian languages are consistently less than 5% accurate.

If you still want to see if you can find anything, it would be prudent to specify what language(s) you want translated and what kind of content it is (like if it's something as long as an essay or a novel, or something as short as the back of a soda bottle). Without providing that information, you may not get a lot of useful answers.

I have used freetranslation.com for basic translations. For precise careful translations from a live human being you may have to depend on a barter (or service for a service), which you could find through craigslist, or other such web commons. Granted, that is no absolutely free, but does not have to cost you money per se.

Unless you make good friends with someone who speaks that language, they are either accurate or free, but NOT both.
