I am a disabled veteran suffering from Barrets Eusphogus, Degenerative Disc Diseases, and vericose vein issues. Since June of 1992 I have been fighting to get help, get treatment (more than the what medicine do you want). I am only 30% disabled so I have to work as well, which I dont have a problem with. I recently also have Cellulitus, which stems from the vericose vein issues, and the barrets eusphogus is from the lack of treatment for GERD. They Veterans Administration has lost my medical records more times than I can remember. Yet nothing gets done about it.

I should explain I am physical more than 30% disabled, the VA says I am only 30%, I can barely walk, stand or sit for long periods of time. As I got an answer that I should be blessed to be only at 30%, I felt I needed to explain its not by choice I am at 30% when the VA doctors tell me I should not be working, I have no choice as I have many bills to pay most of them medical bills, and the fact the VA makes us pay for our medication even if it is service connected.

Yes the government needs to do more for our disabled vets to show them how thankfull we as Americans should be for everything you've done.

Yes, more needs to be done for the veterans who are REALLY disabled from combat injuries. Giving them a prosthesis and a little physical therapy is not enough.

Instead of complaining, why don't you do some volunteer work with other vets? They would love to get help from one of their own and you will realize how truly blessed you should be to be only 30% disabled.

No the Dems did more to cut Vetrans benifits,

Kerry, Kennedy and Clinton made it so that a soldier wounded in action had to pay for his/her meals while in a hospital

Bush stopped that

The same bunch reduced burial benefits for a kid killed in action to $5,000, Parents/spouse had to pay the rest.

Bush allows $250,000 for a child lost in action.

VA lost many $millions of spending during Clinton Admin. Clinton even closed VA hospitals

( I have a friend whose BIL is in charge of veterans benies for the military)

There is always someone wanting to cut our benefits. Most are jealous because they dont understand and didnt earn them for themselves. There are WAY to many vets that vote for anyone to pass the idea into law..
