My twins are 2 and all ready very competitive. I just don't want them to resent each other for "loosing".

Good Guy - You have an excellent point! Not exactly what I was aimming for but I will teach them that for sure!

As long as they don't end up in fights.

I usually try to teach my kids that the real competition is with yourself. Like if you can do something in X amount of time can you break your own record next time.
Competing with your ownself is the only key to success.

A little competitiveness is ok, but mostly, I try to teach them to be team members. Mine are much further apart in age (5 years) so there are many things that the two year old can't do as well as the 7 year old. I try to have the older one try to show the little one how to do things, and instead of getting caught in a "I can do this better" war, I try to show them how to cooperate so that they both can be "winners".

I think competition between siblings is very healthy, as long as they're not physically hurting each other. Depending on what they're doing, there may be some bumps and bruises, but that's as far as it should go. Honing they're competitive skills with each other will definitely help when they use it against others in any contest.

let them be competitive as long as they arent being mean and greedy and getting into fights with their friends over a game!

how bad do you want them to hate each other?...i want my kids to work together and respect each other...one day i may not be around and all they will have is each other...they should love, support and be there for one another...not play against each other
