I admit that I am constantly amazed at how shallow people are -- of both sexes. I have a friend who is pretty and funny and wonderful and she's also flatchested. She had guys break up with her bec of her chest (as if they didn't know that originally? Geez). I also know a girl who turned down date after date from guys if they didn't meet her 'standards.' She spent more time home alone on Friday nights then girls who were objectively less attractive. She also denigrated my choice in my bf (now my dh of more than 20 years) because he wasn't 'hot enough'. Well, we're still married and she's on her 3rd husband bec she chooses them -- and they her-- for shallow reasons and once the inevitable reality appears, it's dumpsville for them both.
So, I know it hurst now but dress nicely, have a good personality, be friendly, and you'll meet someone.

I have been in that situation before but, I realize that theres someone out there for everyone. Some guy dont look at what type of personality she has but what the outside looks like. Sometimes if your not happy with yourself you have to make a change for you and only you. They dont know what theyre missing. Skinny is not in like it used to be!!!!

Yes, there are guys like that. But... think of it this way.
In 40 years, we'll all be fat, ugly, and wrinkly. If he liked you for your looks as a 20 year old, he'll divorce you because of them in your 60's. So, wait until you're noticed by someone for more than looks. Then you know you'll have him for life! If you think of it that way, you're really in the advantageous position. The hot chicks have to deal with the guys who just want sex, while you won't have that, as much.

I don't hate it because then the guy doesn't like you for who you are, but what you are. I would much rather go out with someone who likes my personality and just who I am in general whether I'm pretty or not. Otherwise it is not really love.

Those guys aren't worth your time or worry. They just want arm trophys to boost their own sagging egos. Ignore all that and stay positive about yourself. Genuine people have genuine relationships. It may take longer to find your true love but when you do, your relationship will be so much stronger and fulfilling because it will be based on true feelings and not superficial nonsense. (look at celebrity relationships - they are so superficial and fall apart so easily)

no if a guy dont like me thats ok because what i have learned over the years is that there are plenty out there that do like you. some guys like only pudgy girls they dont even look at the skinny ones, people have differantt likes so if a guy dosent like you dont let it bother you there are plenty more that will,trust me,have you seen the people who are married out there? some of the most horrible looking people out there are happily married with kids so someone liked them and they will you too. dont lose hope.

No, I've never had this problem BECAUSE guys who are really shallow and superficial don't interest me.
The guy you want is one who'll like you for the whole package - looks, intelligence, personality, etc. Someone who only likes women for their looks, and only women who look like Victoria's Secret models, is probably NOT a decent guy to be with.

if a guy doesn't want to go out with me because of my looks, i don't feel bad but he should cause i am the best thing that could have happened to him :) keep your head there is always some one for everyone just enjoy you life till he comes into it:)
