I am in a complicated situation w/my boyfriend. We are both in college and young. We have been dating on and off for a few years now, but he told me that he cannot commit to me fully right now because he wants to be sure that we are meant to be together before he does that. i think he wants to date other people to be sure. he wants to date me AND date others at the same time, but i love him and can't just feel like the "default" girl. he says he loves me but wants to be 100% sure about me before we make a commitment (marriage) which i think is good bc so many young people jump into marriage. but does anyone think there is any way we can decide if we are meant to be together WITHOUT hurting eachother, breaking up or dating other people? do you think time apart would be the best option? any opinions are appreciated. keep in mind that we have a huge history, and our lives are so entwined that i cannot lose him totally. its kinda like...sometimes loving eachother isnt enough. :(

Well,i would already dump a guy who considers me as one of the options. He is considering you as just a possiblity and isnt sure about having you in future.Do you wanna be with someone who is not sure to chose you or not?Do you want some one who will try out many other girls as possible just to check if he can hook up with them too and also keep you as a stepney on the other hand? You dont deserve to be treated like this.Dont you want someone who wouldnt put anything or anybody above you?I am sure you deserve someone who will be there for you always and has only you in his heart and soul.Someone who is willing to give his whole heart to you.You deserve a person who loves and cares a lot about you,not someone who isnt sure whether its you or someone else.Think for yourself, you shouldnt measure your worth through him.You are by nature very valuable and deserve The one who can provide you with all that.Good luck!

You are asking a question as to what to do? And then you give advice about young people. WTF. ()
