I highlighted my hair a light shade of blonde - however now I think it doesnt look so hot. I wanna colourit a darker shade of blonde all over. Will the colour be itensely lighter in these areas that are highlighted or just a tad? Should I get a filler? What is it and can I buy it off the shelf?
Any and all answers will be greatly appreciated!!

I don't know of a product you can buy over the counter to get your hair "filled". "Filling" the hair is a process where all of the natural pigments your hair has are returned to the hair after it's been bleached out. When you lighten your hair, all the color is pulled out of the hair shaft. To make your hair any color, pigments are required. Brown hair has all of the primary colors in it to make the hair brown. Other colors have different variations of the primary colors to make it that specific color. When you lighten your hair to blonde, you pull all of the color out. It leaves the hair shaft very open, since the bleach opens it to remove the color, and you're not "filling" it in with anything. "Filling" the hair means to put these primary colors back into your hair, to fill that space in the shaft that would allow colors to "pour" right back out. If you do not fill the hair, the color you put on it will fade out quickly, because the color molecules can escape the shaft very easily.
At first the difference may only look slight between your highlighted hair and non-highlighted hair, but the color will fade off fast, and the highlights will remain. If you're looking to get rid of them forever, you'll have to get it filled.

This is my area, a filler is something you can buy at your local beauty supply. Its used to make the hair all one color when you dying it a darker color if you have any blonde in it at all. It basically makes your hair all one color, say if you have blonde highlghts and you dye it ash brown, some of the bowns which were blonde before will remain quite light!
