Go to a salon, they can cut your hair so that the growing out process is as least awkward as possible. They can give you a style while you are growing your hair out that will flatter you.
At you salon, ask about products that can protect you hair so that while it is growing out the damage that the chemicals from dying your hair doesn`t affect the new growth of hair (ie, dryness, split ends etc.)
The speed that hair grows depends on your health, diet, age, stress levels and ethnicity. On average, hair grows about half a millimeter or so per day, or about half an inch every month, so that is about 6 inches in a year.
Staying healthy and eating healthy are ways to improve the growth factor of your hair. Diet supplements will help to augment your diet if you are lacking in any of the nutrients needed such as protein. Talk to your pharmacist, they know all about vitamins and supplements. Do not go and take any ole pill that promises hair growth.
Again, your stylist is a professional that deals with hair 12 hours a day. He or she knows what they are talking about, so do not hesitate to ask them any questions while you are there. They`ve dealt with this lots of times, believe me. : )

Eat really healthy so your hair grows quickly. Consider getting a cute short cut. How long it takes depends on your hair length of course. Wear your hair some way you think is sassy, and the confidence you feel will detract from the "growing out".
I know you said no more dye, but you might consider using nonpermanent hair coloring that washes out if your hair is long, or if the contrast really bothers you alot. At your natural food store you could find something that would wash out without any harsh chemicals and toxicity, if that is your concern.
I've done it - you're gonna have bad days, so have some hats and scarfs that you think you look really cute in to get through the tough moments.

the fastness of your hair growth depends on your body, dont waist your money on gellitin pills for they DO NOT work. They have yet to be proven to actually work. Put your hair up in a bun, ponytail, braids, etc... As much as possible, dont wash your hair EVERY SINGLE DAY the shampoo just causes more hair damage than whats there allready. Trust me I know, I was in the same situation just last year. Keeping your hair up helps your hair grow faster and also lessens the chances of people noticing the color diffriences...Good luck, and again, dont waist your money on products that dont work... use it on something you NEED. So then about every month cut an inch or two off (depending on how much youre willing to give... )

There are many methods to make our hair grow faster, shine , glitter in natural ways without using chemicals. Learn here https://bitly.im/aL9af Men, and sometimes women, notice that their hair is thinning prematurely for several different reasons. Age, menopause, pregnancy, genetics, illness, and other factors all play a role in hair loss. Sure, you can use drugs or you can go in for a hair transplant or fusion, but sometimes the easiest, most inexpensive solution, is to try to stop hair loss naturally.

Best idea to get your natural hair color is to shave all your hairs. This will prevent from chemicals as you already used for dye.
New hair will grow without any problem

Hair, in general, grows about a 1/2 inch a month. My advice is to go as short as you're willing to go with your haircut, to cut as much of the light stuff away- and be patient! It'll look like hell for a while, lol!
