I don't believe there is a statute of limitations on debt collection here in Georgia. If you owe the debt, the collector can try to collect it at any time, even 10 years from now. However, as far as your credit goes, it now stays on your credit report for 10 years. I would just tell you to bite the bullet, contact them and just make arrangements to pay it. Don't let them bully you into paying what you can't afford because then you'll never pay it at all. Whatever you think you can afford to pay them, tell them thats what you're going to pay each month. That way you won't always feel like you're just waiting to be served those papers by the magistrate court.

The time a creditor has to collect antisocial unsecured debt will matter upon the state's Statute of barriers, mostly in Australia this is going to likely be 4 to 6 years. in certain situations, in spite of the indisputable fact that, in spite of the indisputable fact that if this era has handed and the debt is seen time barred, it doesn’t advise the debt is gone; the debt will continually be on your credit list until eventually you pay it or legally declare your self bankrupt. in case you want help on financial ruin in Australian context, i will advise the people from the link bellow.
