That is a very noble thing to do
But would you not think.
If they are that poor and in such need that they would not own a computer.Unfortunately there are very dishonest people in this world
Look before you leap.you sound like a very caring person may god bless you and truly guide you to those in real need.

Hi I seen your post. I have three grandchildren that reside with us (their Grandparents) and we get no outside help, my Husband is on disability and we also have a 16 year old son still at home. You sound like a caring person. I would check out different charities or churches that may refer families to you. Many people who are in need do not have the luxury of a computer, sometimes they do not even have the essentials. like utilities or housing.
