On the strangest occasions have I been accused of 'mocking God'. In many debates I had with Christians about this subject, I never once have gotten a good definition of the word 'mocking'.

As an example, two exactly the same question, but worded differently.
Is God naked? (=mockery)
Is God dressed? ( never once have I been accused of mockery when asking this)
It seems that the word 'naked' used in one sentence with the word 'God' is mockery. Using the word 'dressed' isn't.

These questions are just examples to show a point. Can you explain me when an opinion or question about God becomes mockery?

Or am I right in thinking that 'mockery' is nothing more than a word that can be used in any discussion just to say "Shut up, I don't wanna hear this" ?

They probably don't want to humor your immature questions because you haven't put any thought into them at all. Naked or Dressed, is that all you can come up with? It seems to me that you have not researched theology enough to carry on an intelligent 'debate' but you still yearn to be popular by jumping on the bandwagon and poking fun at religion. Keep trying, maybe you will impress some young naive fool oneday.

Mocking God, to me, is being arrogant in your dealings with Him. I think that your question about His sartorial ways is impious rather than mocking. The Bible describes God's clothes as being brilliant to the point of dazzling. That's all we need to know.

Mocking God is being proud and arrogant and representing yourself, a mere created being, as being far too clever to accept what He teaches us in His word. Since we are finally going to be judged on the basis of how we treated others during our lives, as well as on our attitude to God, I would say that every time you mock a Christian for being foolish enough to believe in God and to accept His word, then you are mocking God.

Mocking is showing disrespect..making light of..but I think you already know that...another example:
Mother, are you eating lunch?
Mother, are you stuffing your fat face again?
By taking God out of the equation, maybe you can figure out for yourself which statement above is disrespectful.

It means you are actually making fun of their deity, or you are pissing them off by pointing out the why the deity is deserving of being made fun of. One of the two.

It's a victimless crime, don't worry.
