My hair is orange/ red brown now and I want nice ashy blonde highlights . does anyone know if I can fix it or do I have to wait until the color fades. I want to put a light ash brown on my hair and then highlight it. Is this safe to do after the mess I already made?

Go to the beauty suppy get the light ash blonde color you want and buy a filler this will make it so the parts you already highligthed will be filled so when you dye it, it will all be one color!
and why your there buy the cap and the pick and the hair bleach called ultra blue!

Maybe this is just a matter of taste...but ashy blonde highlights on reddish brown hair are not your best choice. I'd go more for a carmel or honey color. They'll complement the color you have. Your best bet is to go to a stylist. It'll be very hard to get the result you're going for by doing it at home and it's possible to get the desired color of highlight the hair will need to be toned - and box bleaching kits are way harder on the hair that what they'd use at a salon.

You dont need a professional hair dresser! Highlights are hard to do yourself, so if it got messed up, just buy a cheap solid color. I would suggest you buy like a brown dye and just dye it to fix what u did.. then.. get the clairol highlighting kit. I just highlighted my hair with it today! And the highlights are ashly blonde! Im guessing that you either didnt use enough of the blonde dye or that yoou didnt leave the dye on long enough. You need to DRENCH the hair that is being dyed blonde. Thats what I did this morning. And I left the dye on for an hour. I promise this will work! good luck! :) you can do it!

If at all possible, I suggest you talk to a professional hairdresser. Reds can be very tricky to remove and cover, and doing multi-process hair coloring can also be tricky, as well as damaging to your hair.

Now you have to see a professional.
