We were just wondering if midgets who commited crimes went to regular prison, or is there a special prison for them. You know, so they would be safer from the big guys? AND no, we are not some freaks, we were just watching the movie Willow which is chock full of them..Then next thing you know we are watching movie The Rundown last night and this midget ran out of the bar and it started us on a questioning of things about midgets. SOOOO if you have an actual answer and not just some freaky comment like "sure didn't you watch Penetentury" or something like that, please let us know. Also, if you know where this midget prison might be?

Many folks seem to feel the midgets are sent to regular prison, but then segregated, so lets presume that there is no midget prison and this "segregation" is true. So do they do the same thing as the big people? Do they have the whites hating the blacks? Are there enough hispanic midgets or asian midgets to have their own gangs as well? And if these "segregated" midgets do have gangs, do they also have separate yard time? Do they have special cells with facilities to meet their needs? Like who gets top bunk, the taller of the 2 midgets? Again, I am not trying to be mean, I really am curious.

Actually as we speak, the prison system is working a deal with the "Keebler Elf" corporation, for a more humane prison system for "little people", because those "big people" in prison are scary.

This question is hilarious ... and the answers are funnier! The most sane answer is that they are people and since "regular prison" is not regular anyway they are sent to whatever prison is in their county, state, country etc. I doubt that little people get special prison accommodations considering that they are not handicapped. They are just smaller in stature than the majority of the population.

Regular prison, but likely they will be kept away from the general population of the prison as a safety precaution.

Of course there aren't. My brother, facing a 5 year felony charge, became quadriplegic 2 days before sentencing, and the charges were dropped. The penal system is not equipped to deal with someone with disablities such as my brother's. However, midgets could cope in such a system, as the ADA doesn't provide for needing to modify existing structures to accomodate short people. Maybe they should, but as of now, I don't think they have figured out how to do it.
