I am the headache guru, I have suffered through horrifying headaches for the past 13 years and know pretty much the entire book on headaches. I've seen all type of specialists and have a medical background myself. I need more information though a lot like what other symptoms you have, where it is located, what foods are you eating?...etc email me and I'll respond.

Have you been in a car accident recently, or jerked your neck violently? That could be the cause of headaches. I would check with a Chiropractor to see if your neck curve is misaligned. That is a major cause of headaches. If all is aligned properly, you may need to see a specialist. But I know we help many people with headaches, without pills.

Reading to much. Watching TV. Doing the computer asking questions on Yahoo! Certain foods also can cause headaches. Stay away from loud noises, like loud music, loud siblings and loud pets. And if you still have a headache see a doctor and see what medication would stop your headaches.

Well there man factors that could cause a severe headache.
It could be because of excess tension or lack of sleep. It could also be because of some eyesight problem. Why don't you check with a doctor. And maybe cut loose a bit and take a few days off from work and get some good sleep.

Yes, quitting smoking can cause severe headaches, irritability, depression, and overall lack of energy. Give it a few more weeks until the nicotine is completely out of your system and you don't feel the need for it anymore and you will be fine. In fact you will be better than you were when you were smoking.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

It could be a number of things. Before getting an MRI or catscan, maybe see a chiropractor. Stress could be getting to your neck/back/spine and you don't even know it. Do you sit in front of a computer all day? Do you have enough rest? Do you drink enough water (dehydration)? I would get migraines because of my alcohol or caffeine consumption. All these things can be factors. Good luck!
