There seems to be alot of confusion about this among Christians. I hope that I can help clear some of it up.

Many people say "it is the Jewish Sabbath" or "the Sabbath of the Jews" or any other variation of this. Show me where it says that in the Bible. The Bible clearly says the the 7th day (Saturday) is the "Sabbath of the Lord" Exodus 20:10

"Jesus said the Sabbath was made for MAN." he did not say "The Sabbath was made for the JEWS."

It was given to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden if they are Jews we are all Jews. Genesis 2:1-3

There is no seperate day of worship for Christians and Jews. NO verse in the Bible supports the idea that the Old Covenant day of worship was Sabbath, but the New Covenant day is Sunday. There is only one day of worship sanctioned by God and that is the Sabbath(Satuday). If I am wrong provide the verse where God says to forget the one commandment that starts with the word "REMEMBER".

If God did away with the laws are we now free to murder people and commit adultery and steal and worship other gods? Then why are we now "free" to ignore the 4th commandment

And it does matter which day God did not say pick a day He said "THE" 7th day is "THE" Sabbath. The jews did not have names for their days they had numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath. The jews knew which day he meant because it was the only day with a name. Celebrating Sabbath on another day is like celebrating independence day on November 15.

The First person to say it does not matter how we worship God as long as we worshipwas Cain. Cain said "God is not specific The sacrifice is just a concept you can offer fruit if you want."

We all now know Cain was wrong. When God says He wants a living sacrifice, He means a living sacrifice, and When God says "The Seventh day is the Sabbath" He means the 7th day. It is not up for debate.

There is no verse in the Bible that says that the new day of worship was changed to Sunday.

Obedience is not legalism

Does God expect people to do what He says?

Why is sin in the world?
Because 2 people did not do what God said. They did not obey.

"Why do you call me Lord, Lord and DO NOT the things that I say" Luke 6:46
"He that saith, 'I know him' and keepeth NOT His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." I John 2:4

We need to start following what God says in the Bible. and it is clear from the word that the 7th(Saturday) is the Sabbath OF THE LORD and God expects us to keep it Holy.

The Sabbath is a concept and not a specific day. It was made to give man a chance to rest from his work and reflect on God. Whether you do that on Saturday, Sunday, or any other day makes no difference.

The Sabbath Day IS Saturday. the first day of the week, Sunday, is the Lord's Day and both are literally not a similar element. on condition that, Jesus did say He became Lord of the Sabbath and He warned us to keep in mind that the Sabbath Day of relax became made FOR guy no longer any opposite direction round :) to boot to, certain human beings might want to artwork on Saturday (valid Sabbath Day or no longer).... human beings like docs and nurses, police officials, the protection rigidity, and so on. human beings fall ill and favor hospitals to be open even on Saturdays; undesirable adult men and gals do crimes and could no longer provide up purely because that's Saturday Sabbath and evidently, those who hate this usa and her human beings haven't any honor that stops their hatred crammed acts hostile to us even for quicker or later, even even as that day is Saturday Sabbath. SO! those reliable those who artwork in hospitals conserving the ill, who function police officials and firefighters conserving our countless communities and those who serve the optimal devotion interior united statesa. protection rigidity conserving each and every citizen from traitors, tramps and thieves (between others).... all of them save us secure and correctly on the Sabbath. those human beings would pick to both spend their off hours on the Sabbath because the Lord directs them in His relax and contain element of the subsequent day doing a such as make an finished 24 hour Day of Sabbath relax or pick yet another day completely. although, each and every time attainable, Saturday Sabbath works perfect, yet once you would possibly want to pick yet another day, i believe that's ok....... For the Lord suggested in Isaiah financial disaster a million to "Come and enable us reason mutually". He knows our hearts, he's conscious of our schedules, he's conscious of our annoying circumstances. he's not unreasonable, Thank God :) <3

Not neccessarily. The days of the week were named by man.God didn't say he started creation on Sunday and finished on Friday, therefore,Saturday is the Sabbath; he only declared the 7th day of the week,a day of rest from his work. This day of rest could be Monday or Tuesday, for all we know.

I believe it does not matter which day of the week you observe the sabbath as long as you set aside one day each week and keep it holy. For me and the church I belong to, that's Sunday.

The Sabbath was one of the 600 laws that God gave to the nation of Israel. When Christ died, those laws, including the Sabbath were done away with.
