The Quran, in what appears to be a self-referential (illogical) statement, tells Muslims and magical Genies (Jinn) to recite the Quran:

Quran 72:01 "Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! "http://www.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/0...

Why would any God want blind ritual "recital"?

Apologetics:

"Its the voice of God" - What? You mean to say God speaks and thinks in a flawed human language? The Quran, and all scriptures are written in human languages so that supposedly (pc word to avoid censorship) "humans" can read and understand them, therefore it is not the voice or sound or anything of God. So why blindly shreik it out?

"God loves the sound of ritual reciatation in human tongue" - Sure he does. Humans get sick of the most complex and beautiful music, and God just loves and desires that wailing.

Q: Distinguish blind Quran recitals from Pagan chant rituals, how do they differ?

The Quran's repetitive recital is done to hammer illogical conviction into the conscience of their faith's followers.

Paganism is much more nature based like in India where all the elements of nature and elements of human nature are personified and elevated to God status and then chanted to.

Oral Tradition... go read about it...the Quran and other books existed in oral form long before they were written down. Those who passed it on had to memorize it and be able to recite it back at any time.

Muslims probably cite the Qur'an for the same reason Christians quote the Bible. I fail to see the difference.
