Cats do the " making biscuits " thing as a sign of comfort. When they are kittens and the nurse from there mothers they do the kneeding thing as well. Your cat just really loves you and feels your like his mom. My cat does the same thing to stuffed animals he sucks on them to.

Kneeding is something cats do when there with there mother trying to get the milk. Its a comfort thing. My cat does it at my feet all night long, it used to be annoying now I am happy he does it, it means they like you and find comfort with you. Love your cat back when he does this :)

He loves 'ya to pieces . Kittens kneed their momma when they are hungry to bring the milk down. It gives them a most happy feeling . So, enjoy your cat and love him back by letting him snuggle on you . Remember they adopt US, not the other Way around. LOL

This stems from kittenhood when kneeding the mother's stomach helps more milk to flow to her hungry kittens. It is a sign of happiness and comfort.

I know why!
It's a strange, but normal behavior left over from kittenhood.
He's mimicking the action of getting milk from his mommy. Some cats will also start to suckle on blankets, clothing, or even human skin. My kitten likes to suck on my neck, and if I let him (usually only if I don't notice - because it's gross), he'll leave a puddle of drool behind. Ick.

it is the same gesture as a human putting a hand beside someone face to say they care. Cats are almost human I think.

Because it makes them happy and it feels good to them. My cat always does it to this stuffed frog that my husband bought for me. It's weird.
