I am on the side to bring everyone home from Iraq. George Bush has really screwed over the American public with his little power struggle. I want him sent to Iraq to fight his own war He lied to us to get us over there. There are no weapons of mass destruction and he is more guilty of killing people now than Sadam is. Perhaps George Bush should be put on trial now for war crimes to Americans for his lie and Iraq people for all the people that lost their lives just trying to live.

I've been a vocal opponent of this peace, remember Bush said we won the war the same year we started, so what we have now is peacefull nation building, since it's inception. We have our troops, the best and bravest of our best and bravest, over there so the Sunnis and Shiites can kill them instead of each other. Despite all the good our people have done, and it's a lot, there is still no end in sight. The trouble is, though we shouldn't have gone for any number of reasons, we did go in, and now we're stuck. Bush had no actual plan of action beyond removing Saddam, which was a good thing, but after we did that he left our troops over there with no actual objective. A war on Terrorism? Terrorism is the act of using Terror as a weapon, how do you wage war on an act? The function of the military is to destroy the enemies ability to wage war, as we did in WW1 and 2, and failed to do in Korea and Nam. Where is Terrorism, what is it's Capital, what colors does it's army wear, what does it's flag look like? This is like the War on Poverty or the War on Drugs of the '60s, there is no enemy to destroy. You can't wage war on an act, only on a people, and we have no way to identify the people. I was career military, my family has a history of U.S. Military service going back to the Revolutionary War, my daughter and her husband are on active duty, and I put it to everyone, how can this war be possibly won?

I support the war, but not for George Bush' reasons. I believe that Saddam Hussein needed to be removed from power. I believed this during the first Gulf War and my opinions have never changed throughout the years since. However, it is becoming apparent that we have a real problem in Iraq now and I am not sure that anyone has a good answer for how this will ultimately play out. Whether we were right or wrong in our actions is secondary now because we cannot just pull out. I will continue to support the war, this is because we have troops deployed and I will always support the fine men and women serving our armed forces in the name of freedom.

I being an american soldier i believe that fighting the good fight is the way to be and wipe out terrorism, kill all the bad people in the world, but to occupy and rule isn't and to stay to stablize a country that has always been at war with each other isn't our fight, it's the people in that countries fight, to fight for themselves and if they can't or wouldn't then they themselves will loss there battle but we are not suppose to be the world police and to think that the only way to stabile a country is to occupy and stay there forever is crazy thinking and is creating promblems in Iraq rather then solving them.

We are there, get over it. Commit to this effort and kick the ever loving sh*t out of the Islamic fascists. And I am unable to split hairs philosophically and claim I support the troops but not their mission. I support the whole effort and those who serve.
Read the entire page by the way,and MM is a fat, sweaty goofball who is allowing his personal hatred of one man color his judgment in regard to the future safety of this country.

It is imperative we curb the spread of terrorists. The US govt should convince all freedon-loving countries to participate together in these battles unless they want to become victims also. We should all send gifts to troops defending our democracy with our appreciation.

I felt it was a mistake before we went, and I still feel it was a mistake to have gone. But now that we broke it, we own the problem.
Saddam wasn't going anywhere, and we had other fish to fry.

I am against the War on Iraq but all for it when it comes to bin Laden. The problem is that Bin Laden was never in Iraq and Iraq was never a threat.
So I am against the current war
