Take plenty of official ID. Take your birth certificate. Do not forget tax returns (3 years). If the interview is as a result of you getting married, do not forget to take your spouse (and congratualtions as well!)
If it is as a result of marriage, they can go pretty deep to make sure the marriage is not a sham. Be prepared for some personal questions. Having said that, my interview was a breeze. She asked about financials and one or two chit-chat questions.
If it is not as a result of marriage, I cannot help, I'm afraid. In any case, just relax. If you have done everything legally you really have nothing to worry about.
Did you use an attorney for immigration? If so, I would want them there. If there should be a hitch, they will be well-placed to sort it out.
Finally, get there early and make sure you know where you have to be. I went to Newark for my interview and there were three entrances, all with long lines at 7am! Travel light. Take what they asked for in the letter they should have sent you and as little else as you can get away with.
Good luck!

They're going to ask you what your plans are, why do you want to be here, are you truly going to have a REAL marriage, do you plan on having children, what will your job be, where will you live, how did you meet you finance, do you love him, what is your given name, how old are you, do you have a criminal record, did you come here legally, what's your mother's maiden name, do you have any pre-exsisting children, what is the name of your father, was he a communist, do you have a social security number, when can we visit your home to make sure your home is a safe environment, what country did you come from, where was your last address????? Get ready for a rollercoaster ride, you're going to get one!

You have not indicated if the green card is through your employment or marriage. In the first case, they will ask questions about your job and educational background. In the second case, they are more interested in your marriage - it is genuine.
If you have nothing fishy going on - relax. The officers are always polite and professional. They have no interest in harrassing you; they just want to keep the scammers out. Good luck.

Bring your lawyer!!!!!! Otherwise the INS officer (if he or she is a real ***) will ask ridiculously rude questions, and give their opinion on whether or not they think you are stupid or your spouse is ignorant, they will go so far as to intimate to your spouse that he is being used by you. All forms of trickery are under their sleeves. Always have the lawyer with you and if a question sounds stupid, look to your lawyer for direction as whether to answer it or not.
