Yes and it breaks my heart. My mother was weeping yesterday because my brother's girlfriend (they're on and off) for some reason, doesn't like my mother and my brother and his girlfriend got into an argument because it got back to my brother, that his girlfriend was bad mouthing my mother to someone. During their argument, my brother's girlfriend said she hated my mother and doesn't want her son, around my mother. That hurt my mother and she cried. It's sad when you see your parent's cry because we look at them as being this strong untouchable person, not a weak person that crie's, even though deep down inside we know they do.

Yes I have. And, sorry to say, I was the cause of it. And I was either too vain, or too much of a coward at that time to say I was sorry.
Years have gone since she passed away. And that incident still lingers in my memory. She was paralysed for the last four years of her life, and I tried my best to take care of her (and my Dad who had early Alzheimer) at our house, with outside help, of course.
I only hope this little act of mine was an atonement in some small measure.

Yes I have, and I can honestly say that it hurts more than anything. Whenever my mom cries, I feel like I have just been stabbed in the heart and punched in the stomach at the same time, like I can feel her pain.

Yes. When she had to make the decision to amputate my grandmother's leg because of diabetes complications. My grandmother had Alzheimers as well, and couldn't give permission to the doctors herself.

Yes, it is awful. Why is it that seeing a parent cry makes us so upset? Maybe because they have been our rocks our whole lives and just like Superman, we don't expect there to be a chink in their armor.

Yes, I've seen her cry and it was awful to hear. She'll never cry again. She's in Heaven where she's always happy looking down on me :-)
