Give her bananas for leg cramps. However, I think that this is more than likely caused because she is walking on her toes. Massage her little muscles. You might try rubbing some apple cider vinegar into her little leg muscles. Make sure that she has not open scratches though cause it could sting otherwise. To curb the tip-toeing, try to ensure that she wear some sturdy, firmer soled shoes. Good luck.

her calfs hurt because she's straining those muscles when walking on her tippie toes. THe Tippy toe thing is kinda normal, all kids will explore it.... The Dr. cannot do much for her, she should just give her some tyloenol or motrin and that will help her through it. Also keep her walking, not on tippie toes though, it will hurt for a little while but will go away.

Has she always walked on her tip toes or just when she started complaining about the pain? If she has the habit of walking on her toes rather than setting her feet properly on the ground, it may just be the strain and pressure of walking that way.

Can she try not walking on her toes? Could be a growth spurt doing this as well. Give her lots of water.

Make sure she is wearing shoes, heavy ones with high tops and good support, will make her walk better, good shoes from Stride Rite work best, and they can fit her for some that will fit her specifically for about $50 no less than what you would pay for good shoes and well worth it while they are developing.

Has she been drinking enough water? Growing pains would be shins, not calves. Sometimes cramps in the calves is caused by dehydration.
