Seatguru.com is the best site to determine legroom and other "factors" when deciding your airline seat. As far as United goes, they have "Economy Plus" which usually includes the exit rows and bulkheads (more legroom), and other more roomy seats. It usually costs $46 each way to upgrade and you can choose your seats online...best to do this when/if you print your boarding pass 24 hours ahead of schedule. When you're online, have the seatguru site up to help you decide which seat to choose. My experience with United is domestic only, flying coast-to-coast on A319, A320, and 777 aircrafts.

sure, many instances. i attempt to fly bulkhead seats because of the fact I fly with my babies yet United prefers to grant them to generic fliers. This rather isn't handy for households, nor the folk whose seats their babies kick yet it rather is United's coverage so there is little that i'm able to do. i'm on my own with 3 young babies and that is annoying to confirm all adults on the bulkhead! on the 747-4 hundred, the bulkhead seats are actually not roomier. extremely the contrary. you will do greater desirable interior the emergency seats by making use of the door, that have not anybody in front. additionally, the 747 on United does not have individual monitors so as that massive action picture reveal screen would be actual IN front of your face. I did see a kin with a lap toddler interior the bulkhead this final time. maximum are crammed interior the midsection seats regardless of the undeniable fact that. once you're flying off of college holidays, in all probability there will be fewer babies than around yule or in summer time. i've got faith that "G" is an aisle seat so once you're unhappy, i'm beneficial you may exchange. sturdy good fortune!
