Yes. I had a cat I was very close to come back a few times (after she passed). She sometimes jumps up on the bed in the morning. I actually feel it and hear her - but when I instinctively turn expecting to see her there - there's nothing. I'm completely alone in the room.

I prefer the word "spirit" to ghost but yes they can. I had to have my beloved Mira put down two years ago. I've seen and felt her on numerous occasions since then.
