Without taking a freudian approach to this, I'd say you are just quite normal. Domination is a form of arousal. You are aroused by specific actions that cause a little bit of pain. And usually, you may agree, you probably just like being surprised in bed.

A little kinky, maybe but not freaky. A lot of people like to be physically abused during sex, the desire coming from within their psychological make up, stemming probably from some event in childhood. Some people like to be choked during this event and they say it increases their enjoyment at climax but it can be dangerous, I don't recommend it.
