Anyone ever have this set or know of a good set for a bad golfer looking to upgrade and get better? I'm looking to pay $300-$400 tops.

Actually you can go to a golf shop and have a set made for 3 to 4 hundred dollars. A lot of small golf shops have ready made new sets on hand in that price range, and a bonus while there is you can have your swing speed check and get measured.

However the Adams tight lies are a good set of clubs and if you like them I say go for it, its always best to play with clubs that fit your eye.

Before you do anything check out my favourite golf store >www.edwinwattsgolf.com< for both new and used clubs. Great people to do business with! I use Adams clubs and they are good value.

Personally I would recommend a set from Cleveland. Very easy to hit and won't break the bank.
