I have receding gums. I already brush morning & evening & after meals, and I floss daily, but I want to do everything in my power to keep my mouth as clean as possible, so that my gums don't continue to recede. So I want to begin using mouthwash... but I find Listerine and other mainstream / commercial mouthwashes to be way too harsh.
My question is, if I use one of the "natural" brands (like "Tom's of Maine," etc.), will it actually be *effective* at reducing bacteria? (I tend to think that the milder mouthwashes are only meant to freshen breath.)
Thank you!!!!!! :D (that's my toothy grin.. haha)
