Are any of you tired of preachers and teachers telling us that we have to remind the All-Knowing God of what the Bible says? As if we have to hold God accountable-which is clearly role reversal.

Not only that, but the false teachers out there who get desperate people to send them all kinds of money for "special" oils and waters as if those things can really bless them instead of God.

I think that it is utterly ridiculous, and how horrible it will be for them on the day of reckoning!

U know, i woke up one morning getting ready for school and i turn on the channel, and they are selling "holy water"... and a couple of the claims were this... "i had been having money problems and before i went to bed i sprinkled this holy water on me, and i woke up the next morning and i owned a business and have been very successful ever since." another one was like "i sprinkled some on myself and the next day i was not sick anymore!"

and to think people ACTUALLY believe these "claims".... *sigh* its a disgrace and im not christian but that stuff offends even me.

I have never heard anybody say we need to remind God what the Bible says, however, we do need to remind ourselves.

I think it is very wrong and sinful for the false teachers to be asking for money for special oils and waters, prayers and etc... I think it is wrong when they ask people to donate money to help the poor, but they are wearing very expensive clothing, jewelry and the stage they are on is covered in very expensive furnishings.

The divine creator is not all-knowing. It could be, but chooses to control that power. If it were all-knowing, that means that it would already know who would survive and who wouldn't. Whatever it knows has to come true, it can't be wrong. That means that everyone's fate is sealed and there is nothing they can do to overcome the will of god. Because of all of this, that free gift of salvation was not available to everyone. This would also mean that god is the cause of all evil which would contradict itself. If it knew about it and let it happen, it is just as much to blame. So, stop saying that God is all-knowing because it is not.

They all seem to have the idea that for some reason we need to wise God up about what is in our best interest.

How silly is that?

Thanks for bringing this up.

I think that the next great religion, -which has to be a world religion - and unite all the religions into ONE must "abolish priesthood".

This I think would be a good solution to many of our problems.

...wait. God ISN'T held accountable? He gets to create the universe and everything and then, despite being omnipotent and fully CAPABLE of being responsible for his creations, he isn't even EXPECTED to be held accountable? I thought he was god the "father." Is that any way to raise kids?

Yep. But what'cha gonna do? We were warned by Jesus Himself about "wolves in sheeps clothing". We just have to be balanced and be aware.

Yes it angers me. How dare they take the Lord's name and use it for personal gain - then they claim to be Christian? Oh yes, I am angered.
