Tell me what religion you are when you answer.

Lets say a woman and a man both virgins aren't even married yet, but she wants to have a child before marriage, so they go in a hospital, he donates sperm to her womb. Is that a sin or no? What if they weren't dating but she asked him because he's her friend or wanted a baby from him?

Of course it's not a sin. It's also not a sin if they got the baby the old fashioned way. Nor is it a sin if they didn't want to get married and are in fact best friends who are both gay.

The only "sin" is hurting other people. (Hurting yourself, on the other hand, isn't sinful, but it _is_ stupid.)

My religion: Wicca, born and raised.

While the religious portion is important, it is important to remember that it isn't just about religion. This is about bringing another living being into the world. Is the woman able to raise this child, is the man going to be able to step back if that's what the woman wants. I think it's wrong simply because the HUMANITY in all of us could take things for a worse. Having children is something that is a wonderful thing, but I think being emotionally prepared and financially able are just as important as the religion. If she wants a child before marriage, she could adopt which is a wonderful thing. And if she wants one to have one then she should make sure the man is able to respect her wishes, because it would be awful for that child to have to suffer while it's parents fight over who gets custody if they aren't able to work things out.

It's still wrong. God intended that pregnancy occur within the bond of marriage between a man and a woman -- who are married to each other. God commissioned the human race in Genesis by the proclamation that Adam and Eve were to multiply and replenish the earth. Furthermore, according to the Bible, pregnancy is to occur between the man and a woman who are married to each other. Sexual relations outside of the marriage relationship, is either rape, adultery, or fornication. God condemns these as being morally wrong and thereby sinful.

Only the sperm and egg of the married couple are involved.

Because a child needs a mother and father who live with the child and love him/her and have made a marriage commitment to each other, you would be doing the child an injustice. So, that would be a sin.

I'd have to say this is a rather odd couple making a rather odd choice but other than that... 'Congratulations, Mom and Dad... and good luck with your new life.'

I'm an Atheist... I recognize right and wrong according to the law and a reasonable set of moral values. You may be strange in your thinking, but I don't see anything 'sinful' or illegal in your choice.

I hope this is a hypothetical question because it isn't likely to be smooth sailing ahead after a stormy beginning like this suggests...

Having a baby is not a sin. It's sex outside of marriage that's sin. But I do not think it would be wise to plan to have a baby under those circumstances. It would not be wise, but it would not be a sin.

I don't see anything wrong with it if she is going to marry the guy anyway. I don't understand why she wouldn't just marry and have the child the normal way.A baby needs a mother and dad.

I would say that it is a sin because God's perfect plan for a family is to have a mother and father bound in marriage. These alternative lifestyles is not what God's original plan was.

Religion: Daemonolatry

We don't have codes or rules in our religion that dictate how people pro-create or have personal sexual relationships.

However - we do have STRONG moral stance that each individual is responsible for him/her self. Self responsibility is of utmost importance. Each individual has to live with the consequences of his/her actions and that's that. If your life sucks, it's your own darn fault and if you do something stupid - that's your own fault, too. :)
