Get her a gift still. If you have no money... borrow some.
The card is most important. The best thing to do is write some memories from previous birthdays.
Dont forget to be extra courteous at dinner and make sure you listen twice as much as you talk. Thats why you have two ears and only one mouth.

Something small, like a necklace or a pair of earrings would be appropriate, something she can see everyday, after the birthday dinner is over. You don't have to spend loads of money to make it mean alot to her.

Depends...are you taking her to your standard, everyday dating restaurant, or are you taking her somewhere extra special? If this is just an average dinner, then get her a little gift...if it's a special (and more expensive) restaurant, just tell her that's where you're taking her for her birthday. And tell her do dress up, so it feels more special, too. :-)

YES!! don't be cheap. if you're taking the time to make her feel special than go all out. believe me the reward will be worth it!!! beside you could always make more money and if you're broke for a while you'll have to stay in and find "things" to do. so you see it's a win win situation.
good luck!!

I would still get her a gift- but it doesn't have to be anything extravagant. Perhaps a CD, a necklace, or anything else small you think she may like.

Yes, dinner takes backseat to giving your girlfriend gifts.

You should unless you tell her that you are taking her out for her birthday, and then still get her something nice. She deserves it for being with you

depends if you're taking her to an expensive restaurant. but yeah, it would be better if you still give her a gift. it doesn't have to be expensive if you're on a budget. but it's also okay if you didn't. depends on how much effort you put on that date.

Yes, that would be nice. Flowers, card and a small bracelet.
