I love the name Cisco from Gone with the Wind! Also there's a trend in my family for naming dogs after favorite cities/places. Vegas, Reno, and Tahoe are a few. Maybe you should wait till you get the puppy so you'd be able to match a name with his personality. Ex. we had a kitten named Twitch because when we got him his tail twitched constantly. :) Good luck and congrats on the new addition!

Big mistake don't let the kid name it. It should be something you both like and come up with yourselves not anyone else. We got our Golden Retriever at 8 weeks too, but we got to see him at six weeks. See him before you get him maybe you can take a picture. We also named him before we got him, and told the people who we were getting him from so they could start calling him by his name so he could get used to hearing it. We named him Harley as in "Harley Davidson Motorcycles." I call him my Harley Boy....There are pictures of him in Yahoo's Golden Group. The name fits him and I love telling people I own a "Harley".

awww lil andrex puppy, they are so sweet, love em!! x
We used to have a lab (black lab) called zack, also had 2 springer spaniels one called brigg and one called tucker!
I think you should just go with what ever name you feel comfortable having, after all your gonna be saying the name over and over again. Dunno, if you like any of the above names at all ? And also GOLDIE sounds a great name too-such a sweet name

My friend named her golden lab Omelette!
I think the best names for pets are human names. George, Henry, Jacob, Brian, Hugo, etc.

you know a friend of mine named his kid xander. It was short for alexander just xander. I think that would be a cool name for a dog. You could try looking up baby names.. there are some really creative ones these days
