Would we have to kill them first though?

It relies upon on what fruit or vegetable. The SEEDS of a fruit are probably alive--dormant, i think of of. The tree produces the flesh of the fruit as food for the seed - it has no distinctive purpose. A root vegetable--the foundation is the middle of the plant, so if plant life had discomfort receptors, they had probably be indoors the foundation. so a strategies as all human beings seems to be familiar with, they do no longer. it is going to be that plant life have an potential kit (Kirlian pictures shows this) yet no longer a needed nerve-racking kit the some distance greater advantageous complicated life-types do. Grains...? returned, particularly some the grain or nut is food for the germ. yet plant life produce hundreds of seeds, and optimal of those are eaten--in fact, some pass undigested via birds and animals and that's how they're unfold. you'll be able to take exhilaration in an avocado and plant the seed (different than you're in a warmth climate, you might have the potential to desire to maintain it indoors the homestead, yet you'll be able to plant it. You sound such as you're thinking growing to be a fruitarian... or a Jain.

I'm vegetarian, and that's parly because I think animal slaughter is cruel... hmmm... if it was proved that fruit and veg felt pain, it could have two possible effects on me, at least this is what I imagine:

1) Go back to a diet which includes meat- if it's cruel to eat veg as well, might as well. The 'easy option'...

2) Become fruitarian- that's where you only eat fruit that's fallen off the tree... it's a tough diet, but pretty mystical. The plant isn't hurt in any way...

Yes and i would probably enjoy baby vegetables even more than I do now, I'd probably eat mounds of runner beans as well for revenge for them being forced upon me as a kid.

Animals don't feel pain when you eat them, they feel pain when you kill them. If a vegatable or fruit cry out in pain when I poke it, no way in hell I'm gonna eat, I'd be scare shitless.

Yes, I would. But I would put them out of their misery humanely first. I wish we did find out something like that, so I could watch all the hippie vegans starve to death.
