Here's what most people actually say if pushed on the topic.:
"What I follow is religion, what others follow is wrong or superstition."
Of course it might be superstitious to give to much weight to interviews.

Superstition and religion combined is the belief or system of beliefs by which a high degree of respect and reverance, respect mingled with some degree of awe, is given toward an object or objects that deserve none. Having respect or appreciation for something because of its history or what it symbolizes is not superstition. It is when you believe the item has power on its own or the ability to influence the present on its own that superstition comes into play.
Religion is mans attempt to define God and put Him in a box that allows man to understand God with mans own understanding of God and life in general.
Superstition about most things seem to have its root in fear and not faith. Faith and fear have the same definition, the belief in something not yet seen, with opposite results. When carried out to there conclusion or end result faith is a positive and brings life while fear is a negative and brings death.

Every time someone makes up a story and believes it and gets others to believe it, then it sounds a lot like superstition. So it depends on how you think a religion started.

Google Mithra and read a bit about him.
An Angel told his mom a virgin that she was going to have a child. His feast day is December 25. Too many similarities for me to list. All of this took place 1000+ years before the birth of Christ.
Love and blessings Don

Religion is the accumulated myths and superstitions of your ancestors which have been dogmatized, institutionalized and mounded into the colossal pile of crap mistakenly called ultimate truth.

Which religion? There are religions that are supersitious. There are also the Judeo-Christian religions that in their true form hold the truth about God and a relationship with him.

With superstituton you can manipulate what is to come. For example..."breaking a mirror will cause 7 years of bad luck".
In faith, there is no way to manipulate God. Therefore the answer is no.

No dear, religion is truth and you lack the truth. Go back to school and get some learning skills.
