The last little while, i've been having these horrible vivid nightmares. I dream my husband leaves me, or that he's been cheating for a long time. And in the really bad ones, i dream that something horrible happens to him or my son, and they end up dying. All of these dreams leave me miserable during the day. Last night i had a dream that while my husband was watching my son, he got out of the house and was hit by a car. And I came home just in time to see the paramedics working on him. All i could do was go in the house and scream. They told me he would be ok, and then, sometime later they took him away in a body bag, saying there was a complication. It felt so real, ever since i got up I can't stop crying, I feel like i still want to just scream. I can barely help myself. I'm 25 weeks pregnant right now, my son is 18 months, and i'm afraid to sleep.I'm sure that by my reaction to this dream, i need to do something but what? I don't want the stress, and emotions to get out of hand.

Your depression doesn't sound very boderline - it sounds real.

The stress of taking care of your family, the pregnancy and whatever else going on in your life is taking its tole on your body, your mind and your baby.

The most important suggestion I have is to talk to your doctor. There are medications that are approved for use during pregnancy. But even if you don't want to take medication, just talking to your doctor can help. You could also see about getting a referal for a therapist who can help you talk through your stress and develop healthy ways for coping with it.

Other ways to deal with depression include confiding in a good friend, keeping a journal, focusing on something positive and sometimes even just sitting down and having a good cry.

What you are feeling is okay and understandable. But in order to continue caring for your family and to ensure the health of the baby you are carrying - I strongly urge you to see your doctor sooner rather than later.

Bipolar and Borderline Personality Disorder are very similar and frequently misdiagnosed for each other to begin with; they share many characteristics i.e. mood swings, anxiety, sucidal ideation, etc. Depending on how long you've actually had bipolar (not how long you have been diagnosed; you would have bipolar for a time before diagnosis) you may have learnt 'coping strategies' for your mood swings, these may now be part and parcel of your personality and would need therapy to 'unlearn' these coping strategies. Also there is some debate over exactly what causes borderline personality; it has always been assumed to be a psychological disorder that is 'learnt' when young; whereas bipolar is an organic disorder stemming from an abnormal brain chemistry. However some researchers believe that borderline personality is on the cusp of being a mood disorder. I think you should stop worrying about the diagnosis for now; clearly if the tablets are not working so far, you have not yet reached a level of stability. And until that is achieved you will not know what your true 'personality' is like; it is impossible to know your personality whilst you are still unstable: if the meds are working you are not stable full stop. You are also only 15, your brain hasn't stopped wiring itself yet; it is all the more urgent that you try to find a medication that works for you, otherwise it may be harder to treat any personality disorder (and they can occur with bipolar). Just try to go with the different combinations they offer, it can take a long time and a lot of trail and error to find the meds that work for you. All the best xx

You sound like you are having panick and anxiety attacks. Please go see a doctor who will most likely put you on a mild dosage of Paxil (considering you are pregnant) or some other medication to help you cope with your issues. If these dreams keep recurring over and over, perhaps you have ESP or some unknown psychic abilities that only now are coming to your attention. Call me crazy, but we all do have preminitions.

I don't know why you are having these dreams. I would assume that your hormones and thoughts have somehow make you have these nightmares.
I would suggest that you focus more on what you have to be happy for. Try to be stronger mentally. It will be healthier for your pregnancy also. Focus on your beautiful new baby tha tyou have in your womb.
The baby feels what you feel. Please try to get help.
I wish you the best.

the best thing you can do for yourself is talk to your husband about this. it seems like you feel very insecure and anxious about your future with your husband, which would explain why you are having such horribly vivid nightmares. you should talk to your husband about how you feel so that you do not feel so isolated and scared. if you are worried or embarassed about talking about your problems with your husband, i suggest talking to a close friend or therapist about your concerns. it is very important that you talk about your concerns before they become a bigger issue.

It sounds like your nightmares are a byproduct of severe stress. Go see a qualified clinical psychologist about this.
