Hi Stephanie - in this weather I get eczema on my scalp and the thing that helps best is POLYTAR, bought over the counter from any pharmacist. It smells like roads but it works a treat! Good luck xx

ok, you do not have dandruff. Dandruff is a fungus infection where your skin turns yellowy and peels off. You just have dry scalp. Follow these easy steps for a moisturized scalp.
If your hair is dry don't wash them every day. Shampoo and hot water are the biggest moisture zappers there are.
<>First of all get a shampoo that is for animals and humans (I pesonally recommend Mane 'n Tail) So you can be sure that there are no chemicals.
<>Then, get a good hairmask. Use it every other month.
<>The months you don't use the hair mask pour oil on your hair in the shower and wash and condition as usual.
<>Every week put a mayo mixture and leave in over night. Wash it out in the morning.
Here is the Recipe:
1 cup mayo
1/4 cup sour cream
1 raw egg
1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
<>Mix together and slather on dry or wet hair.
<>Massage into your head for 5 minutes.
<>Put a shower cap on your head and a towel on your pillow.
<>Wash out in the morning.
(<>if you can't sleep with it leave it in for at least 1 hour and then wash out in the morning).
<>If you have oily hair pour lemon juice or vinigar on your hair instead of the oil.
****<>****Always do a final rinse in cold water. This will seal up the hair cutical and give you shine, and a lot less breakage.****<>****
I ♥ HORSES
P.S. The reason I know is because my dog (yes, of all things my dog) got dandruff. (we moved overseas and the climate was wetter and he got dandruff). We had to go to the vet and he said it was dandruff. (My dog is a lot better now)

Go and see your pharmacist. I had the same problem years ago and I used coconut oil I believe. It is the consistency of Vaseline but opaque. Rub it in to your scalp before you go to bed, put something on your pillow to protect it and then wash your hair as normal the next day making sure it has all gone.
You might be able to try aqueous cream as well but seek advice from your pharmacist first!!

i was the same as you for a long time getting frustrated because nothing would work until my hairdresser told me about "DERMACINZ" it can be bought over the counter at any good chemists. Its about €15 a bottle but you only use it twice a week so it lasts a while. It has worked for me hopefully it will work for you? Best of luck.

My friend got special stuff but i can't remember the name of it, so that's not much use. I do remember it having "Ketaconosole" in it which is apparently the best treatment. Check the labels on the anti-dandruff bottles to see if they contain this chemical.
