Very funny you should ask this. I am in the same boat right now...however as an adult :-) I can honestly tell you that this type of situation is rough. A part of you wants to keep the "other" guy around because he is in fact interested and it feels good to be wanted. However, you don't "click" with him and you still chase after your crush. In my situation, while I have come to the conclusion that my "crush" and I will never be together I have found myself almost forcing myself to try and develope feelings for the nice guy. Here to tell ya honey that if your not feeling it now..chances are you won't feel it later. Sometimes people do infact grow on ya though. My advice to you is hang out with them both, but don't lead the nice guy on. Lead him to believe that you are just friends hanging out and see what happens. If after awhile of friend activites you still feel nothing then move on. Plenty of boys out there especially in college :-)

The guy who makes the effort will probably be wasting his time if she's into a guy who doesn't care much about her. A normal girl wouldn't cling to a guy like that, so she wouldn't know what to do with a normal guy who treated her nicely.

I think that I would probably give the "other" guy a shot....even if I was just thinking that I would spend time with him until the crush was more available.

It probably would turn out that I would find great characteristics in the other guy, but you never know.

Generally speaking it takes girls (I'm presuming you're talking about a girl) a long time to wise up and realize that they deserve better treatment than guy 1 is giving them in your scenario. Usually that long time occurs well after high school.

You dont start liking somebody you didn't like just because you were rejected by the one you did like.
