And I've read many books that prove that the bible is a pile of crap.
So why do you still believe in the bible, and the discredited theory of creationism?

You only liked it because it supported your preconceptions. If you would have been a big fan of evolution you would have seen it as nonsense.
Concerning the debate going on about intelligent design and evolution: is it possible that the final answer about which of these two seemingly opposite ideas is correct could simply be yes?
With one position firmly held by the believers and the other just as fearlessly defended by the non-believers, if you happen to be in a position somewhere near the middle, it does not look all that complex. From this position, you wonder why either-or has to be the answer.
If you believe that some higher being created the universe by intelligent design, what more elegant and intelligent design could there have been than a self-regulating system that continually checks its own errors and makes its own corrections in mid-stream as an integral part of the process.
This all seems quite logical to me although it probably won’t satisfy the believers because they are afraid to see any truth other than the one they have been told to believe in. Inversely it certainly won’t satisfy the non-believers because it leaves them stuck with a god that they are so obviously terrified of.
To sum up this view from the center, it might be most easily be explained by saying perhaps the designer was intelligent. Problem is, the designer was likely so intelligent that those seeking to prove that it is intelligently designed may be incapable of ever understand it well enough to see it for the elegant self regulating design that it has always been.
The nonbelievers will be similarly handicapped due to the internal terror the have about the idea that there may be a God. Neither side being able to leave their entrenched position for fear they may have to admit they were wrong. While the rest of us stand by trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Personally I don’t think anyone is wrong, I just feel both sides are about half right.
Love and blessings

Evolution is a theory which can't be proved. It does not address the creation of the universe, only what might have occurred with some degree of certainty. Our minds are finite and can't logically comprehend the infinite which many accept on faith as a supreme being. I believe that a supreme being beyond my comprehension (God, if you will) created the universe and things on earth evolved from this creation. The interesting thing about the Big Bang Theory is that it doesn't explain anything about where the matter came from in the first place. The theory of evolution has some aspects such as natural selection which can be proved.

There is no such thing as "proof" that evolution is false. If a book of this kind (there are hundreds of them) "made sense" to you, it is because you have no more understanding of basic science than the writer of the book does. Here's an excellent site that will provide you with some basic scientific information, largely in layman's terms, so that you can read such a book more critically, and not be taken in by ignorant non-arguments and misrepresentations of the truth ...

Books by the millions are written. If you believe in creation, you can find many books to support your ideas. If you believe in evolution, you can find just as many scientific books to explain the idea.
The big difference is that the religious people are forever trying to discredit evolution. The scientists go about their business digging deeper and deeper, and finding tons of evidence to support the theory of how it all happened.
No, I haven't read that book, nor do I intend to. I'm sure it was written by some superstitious church guy who has a hang-up on denying what he knows is true.
Why don't you church guys just go to church, do all the praying you care to. Believe whatever you care to believe, but don't keep pushing your beliefs on those who don't want any of it.
If you can't accept the scientific explanation of our beginning, stick with the church explanation - - boy it's a doozy.

Um evolution is real. I didn't read that book but I have read plenty others tht prove evolution just fine. Oh yea and evolution makes a hell of alot more sense than some God changing everything all the time, everywhere. I mean there is a God but I don't think he changes it,....he let evolution take over =)

Plants and animals evolve. We can see it. How can that not be fact?
Now, you can question evolution taking us from one cell to many different organisms, as we have no way of proving that. However, it is a simple fact that living creatures incorporate beneficial genetic mutations, thus "evolving".
On the other hand, I see lots of evidence showing Adam and Eve Creationism to be highly unlikely. But then again, we weren't there, so we won't know. I'll go with the one that makes more sense, though. (BTW, that's NOT the Bible's creation story.)

You seriously need to put that book in a fire or something. If you want to read about evolution, go get yourself a copy of The Blind Watchmaker and learn what evolution actually is before you claim to have disproved it.

Yes evolution is still happening. All evolution is is adaptations in a species which eventually amount to a huge difference over a LONG period of time, you can witness animals adapting all the time!
No I havent read that book though, whose it by?

sounds a good read but I always keep a open mind on this subject. Mainly because very sincere people are believing in evolution as a theory of the history of this world.

I didn't read it. I believe in evolution simply because most scientists do; I have to accept these things as I can't redo all scientific experiments since Galileo.
It's hard for me to believe that atoms exist, but the science books say so, so i have to accept this. The scientific method of observation and experiment makes sense to me, even if I have a hard time understanding the things science says are true.
