First off, i'm junior in college that doesn't have any real friends. I am quite straight but have never had a girlfriend, let alone a date. I am very shy around girls, and guys too (but not so much).
I'm not like a big macho man either. It seems like most guys want to just get a girl for sex, but I'm looking forward to (hopefully) getting married and having kds one day. Am i wierd?

It' cool to here that your in college. I dont have much friends either I'm homeschool on line. well to find a girlfriend takes time but hey¡! their can be a pretty girl who like you but is afraid to let you know. Like me when I see a cuite guy I'm afraid to walk up to him and let him know how I feel so I just walk away, Why? I really dont know I guess u can call me shy to lol.
Well you dont have to be a macho man to get a girl just be careing. Most guy do want to get a girl for sex but thats not a good idea. the reason why is because if you get a girl for sex then it can hurt her and then you will be known as a jerk through out the whole school. but you seem like a nice guy and their is probally a lot of girls willing to date you, but might be to shy to tell you.

Building relationships is a skill that must be learned and developed. If you wanted to learn to build a house you would learn the various skills and then you would practice them until you were proficient enough to start laying your foundation. Relationships are the same.
There are many books about building friendships. I'd recommend you make a goal of learning some new tricks and then committing to getting out there and trying them out. College is the perfect place for this.

no i call that mature, i mean the dating thing is a lil wierd, but then its good look @ the 40 yr old virgin he turned out to have a bad *** life i guess. dont be shy just be yourself and dont worry or not whether a girl likes you or not esp. right now just date for a while. wish i could be there with you i would help you out...you sound like a good person, someone who actually deserves help oon something. :) hope your luck turns around

No you're perfectly fine, some guys are like that. It is nothing to be worried about. besides it is the nice shy guys like you that make it far in life and eventually find that special someone that will stick with them until the end.

Not at all. You seem like a good guy. Try to be more outgoing. Try joining a club or sport. That could help to bring out your social qualities.
