Did your grandfather do the armed forces? Look up his ship info and stuff and make a scrap book of it. Or arrange a date where he can rejoin his old ship (if he was in the navy).
What do they like doing the most? Brainstorm for a second, write down stuff they like and add more details to the question later.
This question is very general esp since I don't know your grandparents lol. They're probably in the rock n roll age with Buddy Holly and stuff. Bring back some of their good (PLZ NOT BAD) memories.

How about a gift certificate to their favorite resteraunt or to the movies? Or you can get one to one of hundreds of bed and breakfasts at www.b&bfinder.com. Or if they have a favorite activity like golf maybe take them golfing one day. Go for the experience they'll have by giving them a gift certificate or taking them on an outing with you rather then a gift that might sit unused. They'll always remember the great time you made possible for them.

I send my grandparents holiday flower arrangements.
Additionally, I also give my one grandpa fishing stuff, because that's what he likes to do; and the other grandpa the latest "gadget". A couple years ago the self-retracting tape measure from Black & Decker was a big hit.
One grandma likes novels set in the Old West; the other likes additions to one of her various collections.
You have to know your own grandparents.

Here is a website for the Vermont Country Store. They have amazing things from the past that everyone probably thought were no longer around! Look it over, good luck and Merry Christmas!

Well, if you have children let them make your grandparents something. If not, then you can make something for them. My grandparents love it when I create something for them rather than buying something. Make pottery or something out of wood. Some stores sell things pre done and all you have to do is paint. Trust me, I'm nearly 30, and all of my grandparents still display the hand made gifts we have given them over the years! They say it means more to them.

Trust me, you should not "buy" your grandparents anything. Make your present an act of kindness, like spending time with them on Xmas, listening to stories, maybe helping them with chores.

As you stated it truly is easily one of the most now problematic age crew to purchase for. My Godparents (very last residing elders in my existence) are nigh not plausible to purchase for. the absolutely answer I have got here upon is to ask them instantly, or both that are married (a pair), ask one about issues for the different. issues said contained in the hot previous: music (particular performer, album) DVDs (back very certain request) Dressing gowns Pyjamas Slippers candies (back very certain and intense priced) both all are graciously accepting of biscuit and tea assortments, different ingredients, and alcohol (this one being certain with reference to kind, high quality, and so on). a edge observe: complications ensue because they have already have almost each and every thing they prefer. An party: One Godmother (the married one) suggested she ought to like a espresso grinder. That became very last Christmas, it remains trolley sf her tea trollies contained in the field. also, yet another issue is easily one of my godmothers (back, the married one, bless, has no idea of ways a lot issues rather cost. If she needs to purchase it, she does and concerns about paying later. If asking her about issues for my godfather, she comes up with issues that are two times as intense priced as i will have adequate money.

Take them for a nice day out and really spoil them?
Recently I bought a book for my Grandmother about her home town (Birmingham) in the 40's as she was growing up, there were lots of pictures and she commented that it was the most thoughtful present she'd had in a long time!
