Don't worry about what your stupid azz neighbors say. If what you reported is really happening, those kids need help. The next time you report her to the authorities get the person name, and if they don't do something report that person to her supervisor. However, you probably won't see them do anything right away, they may have just opened up a case file on the mother, but you can call the police if you see that she left the children home alone. If the police comes and the kids are there alone, they will be taken from the mother, because a 9 year old can't take care of a herself much less a baby. However, I do believe that 13 or 14 years old, is the legal age a child has to be in order to stay home alone or watch their siblings for a few hours.

You have all the right to call in on her! i once knew a lady who gave her 8 month old NyQuil because he was sick and it killed him,if someone who knew about it would have reported it that baby may still be alive today! You should call child protective services and tell them what you have heard so they can investigate it,then at least you will know if something ends up happening the one of the kids that you did all you could to help them out! If more people would watch out for kids instead of minding their own business like your neighbors do then maybe more kids would have a better chance in life, good for you for caring!

Keep on calling the police and DHS. Maybe eventually they will listen. Those children have no one to speak out for them. Something has to happen to remove those children. If she is a prostitute then whats to stop the men from sexually abusing the children also. Notify the principal at the child's school. Maybe they have already noticed something too. Just keep on and don't stop till someone pays attention.

You did the right thing. I would call again and again. What a shame that some parents are so nasty and that neighbors aren't willing to help others. I don't think you should look the other way. Keep up with it. This mom is doing a terrible job at the most important task she will ever have.

it hard somex when you want to do the right thing and you have to worry about the outcome for example the angry neighbors but you did the best thing to call the authorities. Who cares what the neighbors think and if they are mad. You will always have the satisfaction of knowing you helped these kids that were being abused insted of having the regret of being able to help them and doing nothing.
GOD BLESS!!!!

Your doing the right thing...Children are defenseless.......Kids should always be first concern...I don't know what DHS is...but where I come from... Child Protective Services by law is required to check into every call they get! Eventually they will get tired of hearing from you and do something about it~ Try reporting anonymous...over....and over....and over......

You've done the right thing. Too bad your neighbors are such trash. Keep calling, just don't tell your neighbors it's you. Let them think more and more people are taking a stand. Maybe they'll finally get enough guts to try to help too.
Bless you for standing up for children!!

You certainly did the right thing. I would take the advice above and report it anonymously to a child protection service, especially if you see bruises on the children. DHS can't ignore that. Best of luck to you!

keep calling. You never know if she might accidently overdose her child or hit her child too hard. its wrong that the neighbors are looking the other way. they are just as guilty. tell them that. if something happens to those children, its going to be on their hands too, maybe not legally but consciously. i know that this is a serious problem...the DHS not doing anything..thier outlook is to keep 'families together'. please keep trying.
