On Saturday I celebrated my friend's b-day and I invited this guy I liked who is actually my friends boyfriend of 2 years and anyways long story short, the boy and I have been secretly talking for 7 months and we were making out and I got a hickey and my mom saw it and got all pissed off. She was mostly mad because I told her I didn't have a boyfriend a couple days ago and so she thinks I got it from some random guy and is being mean to me right now. I couldn't tell her who the guy was of course cause she met him before.Keeping in mind that I'll be 18 in a few weeks I feel I can make out with someone I like if I want to, but does that make me a bad girl? I know that makes me a ***** for messing around with that guy but I'm calling it off today when I talk to him.

Oh hunny, sometimes it is hard for parents to let go of their children. Also parents go into protect mode, the hickey is nasty in her mind and makes you look trampy to boot.

But I don't think it is the end of the world. You seem to be a very wise girl for even thinking this out to this extent. I am sure your mother just don't want to see you hurt.

Maybe you should write her a letter and tell her that you are not into casual things and what did happen was a mistake, but not one that you made with a complete stranger. Tell her that you are just trying to find your way in the world and you need her trust, support and understanding as you are trying to make your way in the world. She should be flattered that you are coming to her, and she may admire your maturity at the same time.

You are not always going to do what your parents want you to do, and you are not always going to do the right thing, but a wise woman (and you seem to be) learns from her mistakes and moves on.

Your mom is not so much mad as scared. you told her you have no boyfriend now you have a monkey bite what is she suppose to think. tell her the truth and maybe she can help you figure out why you need to poach you friend's BF, it sounds to me like you need to talk to an adult. Please talk to your mom that is what she is there for. let her help you believe me she has walked that road after all she was a girl before she was a mom and she loves you

What makes you a bad girl is the lying and sneaking. Having a boyfriend probably wouldn't bother most mothers, but the lying and sneaking would. If you want to be treated like a mature person, act like one.

Your mistake was to allow him to give you a hickey! No one will care as long as you are discrete, and flaunting a hickey is anything but discrete!

You fooled around with your friend's bf, that's what makes you wrong in this situation. What kind of a friend would do that? Put yourself in your friend's shoes and see what you think about your bf doing that with a pal of yours.
