Well, if I respected you, then I would stop making the comments around you. I might continue to do it when I'm not around you, but I would respect your concerns. If I didn't respect you, then I would continue to do it in front of you.

I'd look at the comments that are being made, first. Are they in jest? If so, how far does he go. Some people use jokes to hide the fact that they truly do have some sort of prejudice against other people. Because if he truly is prejudice, then there really is no way for him to stop making the comments because that is who he is.
If he's not prejudiced, then he shouldn't have a problem stopping at all, and he should respect your wishes. If he is prejudiced, then you need to decide if you can live with and tolerate his ignorance.

If he's making stupid remarks about blacks and mexicans then he is a racist. He may not be your pointy hat wearing kkk type but he is a racist.Whether they are white or black anyone that makes comments on someone because of their skin tone is a racist.
And to answer the rest of your question, he should respect you enough after 2 years to tone his comments down. Him not doing it shows an appalling lack of respect for you.

The problem is that your asking a guy to think the same way you do. And as much as I hated to admit this we don't alwsy think before we speak. He's not doing it to be mean or disrespectful. Chances are that he's just trying to make a joke or something and doesn't really think it's that big of a deal. Matter a fact I would be willing to bet that he think your beng way to serious in that you know he doesn't mean anything by it. I'm not sure that there is a whole lot that you can do other theen to tell him that you know he's just joking but you just don't find that stuff overly funny. Tell him that you don't care if he makes stupid comments but to just try and not make them around you. If you make to big a deal about ti you'll find he will blow you off even more.

Why would you want "me" to "act" differently around you? If you are dating "me" with an intent of having a serious relationship wouldn't you want to know what I'm really like?
You can NEVER change anyone. The real question is if you have enough self respect to dump "me" if it is clear that I'm suffering from a superiority complex.

do we get busy? I have to ask, only because that is your bagaining chip. No nooky unless you quit being bad! However, I think that you are intelligent enough to apply that to his weakness of you. It can be any number of things, but ususally asking a guy to just quit being annoying without any consequences is like standing in the rain without the poncho and asking the clouds to behave-- only because you say so. Another option is to set him up in front of one of those people that he makes these crude remarks on, and help him lick his wounds when he gets the stuffing knocked out of him. I like the second suggestion better!

at first i would still slip up and make stupid remarks and then slowly you would notice that it would pretty much stop, but in order for this to keep up u need to show some appearciation or else it wouldnt last long. so i would respect you if u respected me in return.

First of all, making those remarks showed a lack of maturity. Secondly, he should stop out of respect for your wishes. If he doesn't, he is just showing how little he cares about your feelings.

I used to make comments like that, problem is I was raised around it. and believe it or not, there are some deep seated problems. I controlled mine around my daughters and sons, yes I think he should however, if you are trying to change him, your in the wrong relationship.
