Seems more like wacko leftist dream to dream of such idiotic thoughts that could never happen. Oh, what if those horrible neocons decided you had to pay for oxygen only the white rich (oh and our best friends in hollywood) could breath.
Quit dreaming this up and start figuring out that your as much a part of the problem as those horrible people you dream about.

I believe that if the US were to implement the Marshall Plan for the US of A then only good things would happen. We would help the poor Americans to get past a devastating war and defend it from Communism/Russian Dictatorship. The economic impact will be profound but to make an omelet one must break some eggs. The American South and Mid West would benefit greatly from a renewed Marshall Plan. Let us hope that the Americans can deal with the financial windfall and not be corrupted by it.
Oh, you meant Martial Law? well that's just silly Billy!

First, fyi , that's "martial", not "marshall".
Second, it would only be declared if the attack somehow crippled the government from functioning in it's duties to keep civil order, and would only affect places where government was severely disrupted.
If attacks got so bad there was a general order for matial law, then there would necessarily be massive death and devastation.

Martial law is only declared in situations where local government has become ineffective in the face of an emergency.
And even under 'martial law' the US Constitution still is the supreme law of the land. As a result you will still posses all of your basic freedoms.

Marshal law is more likely from a biological attack than from anything else. And then it will be required to help stop the spread of disese across the country and world. Financially it would be devestating to the country but we could recover.

You could throw the Bill of Rights out the window. In such an extreme case that isn't neccesarily a bad thing. Well it is.. but the circumstances may make it the best thing to do. The general population would have to be under fairly strict control in order for the military to do their job of defeating the aggressor.

Why would the government declare martial law if it was an isolated incident?
If it happened, I imagine life would be pretty much the same as usual with a few notable exceptions.
Airport security would be even tighter.
More cameras would be installed in high risk areas.
Mandatory curfews.
National I.D. cards.
Re-instate the draft.

Best hope it never happens. Under Marshall law all rights are
suspended.. The military becomes the government.
Contrary to some opinions no one goes any where, period.
Thank you very much, while you're up!!!!!!!!

Just go watch the late 80's movie "Red Dawn". It is a bit far-fetched, but could happen. Anarchy would run rampant.
