i have a very small space heater as an extra heat source for like my feet and such while im watching tv or reading...my question is...there is a knob for low/high and then there is a knob for the temperature....what is the best way to set the thermostat on these?...for instance do i set it on low and adjust the temp to highest or do i set it on high and adjust the temp to mid?...is there a proper way to do this or is it half a dozen of one six of another?

The low/high might be just the fan, but I would expect it to select a low or high heat range. The best way to use the heater is to set the temperature to the setting you want. Set the low/high switch to low. If the heater can't keep up with the job and your feet or such get cold, switch to the high range. Don't change the temperature setting. The low/high is separate from the temperature. The temperature setting just tells the heater to shut off because the desired temperature has been reached and to turn back on when it gets cold again. During cold days, you may need to use the high setting. During warmer days you should be able to use the low setting.

The low/high is just a fan blower setting. The heating element is what really sucks down the energy so if either way makes you comfortable, choose the setup that requires the heating element to run the least to save energy and money.
