Both basically believe in the same "OT" (besides for some christian mistranslations and jewish interpretations {e.g. eye for an eye is not literal}).

Both beleive there is a G-d == though our G-d's are not the same.

And we both believe in basic laws of decency.

that's about it.

The Christians owe a great debt to the Jewish people for Jesus, Mary, & Joseph, the apostles, Scripture, the 12 disciples, for the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob. I believe it is said that the Jewish people are "blinded" to the Messiah. They will see him when the full number of Gentiles have come in. Read Romans.

I hope the only way they are alike is that the Christians used our religion to go forward with and make up their own religion.....that they started out the same.

I agree that there are many Christianish people out there. Those who commit atrocities aren't "real" Christians -- only Christianish...

Judaism is the basis for Christianity... Without Judaism, Christianity would have never existed.

Jews who believe in Jesus ARE Christians.

(and this would include several of the apostles, including Paul)
